Candidate C is a friendly individual who is looking to begin an office based apprenticeship as soon as possible. They have wanted to get into administration for a while now, and all their applications has been in this sector. They feel this offers the best career and progression. Academically, Candidate C has achieved C’s in Maths and English at GCSE. Candidate C has a lot of work experience. Candidate C is currently working part time and they work Tuesdays– Saturdays, and has been there since 2015. Candidate C has had some other work experience, including working at a bakery part time. They also volunteered as an athletics coach part time during school, where they helped younger children in athletics. Naturally they are very sporty themselves, and is a regular gym goer. Candidate C highlights their strengths as being a good time keeper, and having good communication skills over the phone and face to face. I like Candidate C, they are super keen to find an apprenticeship and I find this eagerness very endearing.
Candidate B is very keen on starting an apprenticeship in business administration and has a preference for Law firms. They find the industry fascinating and would love to get their foot in the door within the industry. Candidate B is currently finishing health and social care. They have generally done very well academically and is hoping an apprenticeship can push their skills in a working environment. Candidate B has a lot experience working in retail settings such has house of Fraser and Dorothy Perkins. They have excellent communication skills and classes this as one of their strengths. They find it easy to connect with people of all backgrounds. They are warm and welcoming and very honest. Candidate B I’m sure would be a great addition to any team, they are very likeable and personable and would generally love to earn the working ways of a law environment.
Candidate A is a standout candidate who is looking for an apprenticeship in the business sector. Candidate A achieved strong results in their GCSE’s gaining a C in Maths a B in English and passing all the rest of their exams with Grades Cs and above. They class this as their proudest achievement so far and feel all their hard work paid off. Candidate A has just finished their first year at college where they studied Psychology, Art and Law. Candidate A is not looking to stay at college for another year as they think working whilst gaining a qualification will be a lot more beneficial as they are able to gain valuable experience in this environment. Candidate A has been working in Debenhams, here they gained a lot of customer service skills and it helped a lot with their confidence. Candidate A describes their skills to me as being confident, reliable, hard-working, good with people and confident. I think candidate A is a fantastic candidate who I would highly recommend meeting.
West Yorkshire Candidates
Candidate C is a very bright learner. They are looking for an apprenticeship after recently finishing college. They didn’t enjoy college and would prefer to gain some work experience now over further studying. Candidate C has a level 3 sports qualification and they also did very well in their GCSE’s. Candidate C communicates very well and is keen on getting started in a business apprenticeship. They just want a hands-on job, something to keep them busy and can learn lots of good skills. Candidate Cs work experience is very limited at the moment, having only taken part with some experience through the army which was one week. Candidate C is very bright and over the last 12 months has been learning Korean, and can now speak, write and read a few words. They really enjoy the challenge of learning a new language and is hoping the apprenticeship can offer them some challenges too.
Candidate B is an excellent candidate, they have really good communication skills and presents themselves very well, they are extremely likeable. Candidate B is looking for an apprenticeship as they have recently just finished their A levels and is just waiting for their results. Candidate B studied at Notre Dame 6th form college and studied business studies and ICT and is predicted B’s in both. Candidate B has no desires to attend university and would prefer to be working and gaining hands on experience in a business setting. This candidate has some good work experience already, they have worked in the bar at Leeds United and they are currently working at Leeds Irish centre behind the bar. They are a natural dealing with people and generally gets along well with everyone they meet. Candidate B is very active and enjoys going to the Gym and playing various sports.
Candidate A is a very confident, competitive individual. They recently completed a Football Apprenticeship with Leeds united. They are a very keen footballer and still plays semi-professionally. Candidate A is looking for a business based apprenticeship, they enjoy having deadlines to work too and enjoys having targets to meet, they find this helps keep them motivated. Other than playing football, Candidate A has also been landscaping to earn a bit of extra cash. Candidate A has really good communication skills, they are a natural team player and their competitive nature I think would be well suited to a business environment.
West Midlands Candidates
This candidate has achieved 5 GCSEs, they are a well-spoken and confident individual and they possess the ability to demonstrate a range of skills, such as being able to work well in a team and can also communicate effectively. This candidates enthusiasm is noticeable and they are determined to secure an apprenticeship. This candidate has said they would like to start work so they can build on their skill set and extend their knowledge of working in a professional environment. This candidate is a practical individual, in school their favourite subjects were Physical Education and Business; thus a more hands on environment would be most suitable. In their own words, My main strengths are working within groups and also I am also able to work on my own. Another good character trait of mine is that I am able to learn new things quickly. This candidate has customer service experience working in a retail based environment and has gained more confidence as well as the strength of being able to work coherently under pressure. This individual believes they are perfect for working in a customer service environment because they understand the needs of customers and how business is driven.
This individual is a very positive person and a great team player with good communicator skills. They have been involved in football coaching for many years and they have also worked for Marks and Spencer’s Simply Food. At the moment they are participating in Street League – a charity which helps young people find work, as well as offering them football coaching. This candidate is proud that they achieved seven good GCSEs (mostly B/Cs) as well as an A* in IT. They also gained a Level 2 Football Diploma for the work they did with Tottenham Hotspurs, which they are equally proud of. This candidate is keen to find an apprenticeship because they want to gain professional office skills in a business where they can progress. With their positive can do attitude this individual is someone who gets along with everyone. From working at M&S I found out that I really enjoy helping people.”
This candidate has achieved 10 GCSEs (Mostly B’s/C’s) and is a mature individual who is really interested in working within the property sector. I would like to improve my negotiation, sales and marketing skills in order to draw more customers in. This will allow me to further assist the Lettings Manager and maximise the overall income and profitability of the branch. This candidate is keen to find an apprenticeship where they can grow and develop and be successful, they come across as very confident and this is down to their army cadet experience. This individual has been in the cadets since the age of 12, by the age of 14 they were promoted and since then they have been picked out for leadership opportunities on various mountain expeditions in Scotland and Wales, which has boosted their confidence in more. I have good experience working in a team and I have found that I am good at building rapport with both customers and employees. I know this because as an instructor I was able to lead a group of individuals on a mountaineering course, on which I had to take into consideration other people’s abilities. This allowed me to quickly build trust and utilise their strengths to best complete the course and despite parts of the route being moderately difficult or dangerous, it was completed with everyone being satisfied and in high spirits. This individual has a natural flair with computers and is confident with all aspects of Microsoft office. They also have experience of teaching others how to use Word and Excel.
This candidate is confident, punctual, well-organised, committed and ambitious individual. They see themselves as someone who likes to get stuck into a task and complete it but they are also proud to say they are never afraid to ask questions if they need help. This candidate has a good set of GCSEs with an ECDL in ICT. They also have good work experience and understand the importance of being positive and upbeat at all times in order to retain customers and win new ones. This individual has a good level of self-awareness, My main strength is that I am an extremely motivated person who likes to complete tasks. I also fit within a team easily as I am very confident and outspoken. I also handle changing/fast-paced environments well, so I enjoy taking on new challenges. Another strength of mine is that I am very speedy on computers! So, for example, when working on spread sheets and word, I can easily type 80 words a minute.
North East Candidates
This candidate is a hardworking, reliable and personable candidate approaching their 2nd year of 6th form and looking for their next opportunity. This candidate is an enthusiastic individual who can work well independently or part of a team due to the fact that they are passionate about what ever job they are doing. This candidate is easily approachable and socialises well with all people of all ages and backgrounds. They consider their strengths to be communication skills, people skills, time keeping and motivation. High achiever throughout school gaining fab grades such as a B in their Maths and a C in their English, also winning an award for his attendance.
This candidate is a motivated person with the ability to work as part of a team and equally as an individual. They consider their strengths to be their confidence, communication skills and ability to work under pressure, which was has gained from their previous work experience whilst working in a busy restaurant whilst at college. This candidate finds it easy to build relationships with people and customers. This candidate has recently completed a Level 2 BTEC in Business Administration which has upskilled their knowledge of customer service, finance, marketing as well as good ICT skills. Overall well- spoken candidate and eager to gain a career not just a job.
This candidate is a friendly, outgoing and a confident individual. They consider their strengths to be communication skills, organisation and team working skills as well as their ICT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. They completed a week’s work experience within an office environment which involved putting orders through the systems, dealing with customers face to face assisting them with their purchases. They studied Business at college and is keen to start a career and gain a qualification within this subject. Overall a confident well- mannered individual with lots of potential.
This candidate currently works as an Administration Apprentice however has recently moved house and is unable to travel to her current placement. This candidate has expressed interest in Administration, as they were successful within the sector in their current role. This candidate has 4-5 months left on their level 2 Business Administration qualification which they would be looking to continue with an employer. If all went well they would then be able to progress onto the level 3 qualification for a further 12 months. This candidate is academically capable from achieving GCSE grades (C) in English and Math’s. This candidate believes being responsible in any job role is key, they are good at working independently to try and overcome obstacles and work in different situations where they may need to use new skills.
During this candidate’s time at high school they achieved 100% attendance for several years, they believe they are reliable through their work history, they always complete tasks to the highest standard and is always willing to go the extra mile by working extra hours and assisting with anything which is needed. This candidate also has two years of customer service experience. At school this candidate’s favourite subject was ICT, they have a great amount of knowledge within the subject and hopes this will come in useful during an Apprenticeship. At A Level this candidate chose to study: Business Studies, Photography, Media and Film Studies.

This candidate chose to study: Spanish, Geography, History and Food Technology, alongside the core subjects at GCSE level. They are also IT literate and feel confident when using a computer, this is due to them achieving a Distinction ECDL qualification in ICT. This candidate is currently working as a Customer Assistant/Cashier. Overall they feel they are well suited to an Apprenticeship as they are dependable, motivated and willing to learn and take on training to ensure they succeed in the role, they are also looking to continue their learning journey and feels an apprenticeship is the perfect way to do this.
This candidate describes themselves as an organised, reliable and punctual individual. They have previous administration based experience from their 2-week placement at a Pharmacy, this role allowed them to develop their communication and customer service skills as well as an insight into administration. This candidate is academically capable and achieved 8 GCSE’s Grades A*-C including Maths and English, upon completion of their GCSE’s they moved on to study A-Levels for 2 years. They are now looking to find an Apprenticeship in order to allow themselves to continue to upskill through qualifications.
This candidate is extremely confident and an honest individual who regards their main strengths to be their ability to work under their own initiative as well as being a team player. This candidate has just finished studying their GCSE’s where they have been predicted to achieve all A*-C Grades. This candidate had a work experience placement at a Horse Stable where they maintained the cleanliness of the horse stables. This job required a high level of organisational skills as this had to be done all in a small-time frame. This candidate has started an Apprenticeship through Key Training and is 3-4 weeks into their qualification, however although both herself and the employer were happy with the placement, the commute every day with no public transport access became too much. This apprentice is now looking for a position that is more local.
This candidate is an intelligent, polite and hardworking candidate who is looking to do an Apprenticeship to further their skills and build a career. They have had previous experience within a fast food outlet developing their customer service skills to a high level and feels confident speaking to the public in a polite and professional manner. This candidate is hardworking, they enjoyed their time at school and is happy with the grades they achieved which include C’s in Math’s and ICT, this candidate has an interest in ICT and is confident when it comes to using computers, this candidate is a dedicated individual who is looking to gain experience working within an office and develop key skills for the future. I feel this candidate would be a good fit for an Apprenticeship as they are a motivated individual who is looking to take on a variety of tasks and assist the team in any way possible.
This candidate describes themselves as an honest, trustworthy and sociable individual, who can work independently and as part as a team to reach targets. They are currently a volunteer working as a Receptionist/Administrator in a medical centre, they have been a volunteer there for over 10 months. From this role, they have gained valuable administrative experience which they hope will be beneficial in an Apprenticeship. At high school this candidate chose to study: ICT, Media Studies and Digital Applications. During high school, their favourite subject was ICT, they liked the fact the course was so varied and from this course they feel confident with using Microsoft packages. This candidate also holds a full UK Driving Licence and has use of their own car so can easily commute.
This candidate is a reliable and hardworking individual who has excellent communication skills. They have demonstrated to me that they are reliable and dedicated returning all documents in a timely and professional manner. They have had previous experience working within an administration role for 7 months in which they has built up a good level of knowledge of the administration process. They feel that the skills they learnt from their previous experience are transferable, skills such as maintaining a professional manner and keeping themselves organised. This candidate feels these are all skills that are crucial to possess when wanting to progress within a company.
They are a polite and dedicated individual who regards themselves to be responsible, eager to learn, communicative and good at problem solving. They have had great customer service experience from working in Hospitality. This candidate has learnt how to prioritise tasks and deal with any problems that may arise in a polite and professional manner. They are looking to complete an apprenticeship as they feel this is the best way to gain experience while still learning and developing themselves further. When speaking to the candidate they come across as polite and confident on the telephone.
This candidate is a confident young person who has excellent communication and computer skills. They have had great experience working within customer service, this experience in a retail environment enabled them to gain valuable skills such as time-keeping, working under pressure as well as valuable sales techniques. This candidate has just completed their A levels which they are very happy with and hoping their predicted grades are reflected correctly. This candidate achieved GCSE Grade A in Math’s, C in English and a B in ICT. They enjoyed their time at college developing key skills within administration, they now feel that this is the time to find an apprenticeship and gain the experience and to build a career and better their future.

They have some experience when it comes to customer service, they currently work in a local shop where they serve customers and manages the till. This candidate to keen to start from the bottom and work hard to progress within a well-established company.
This candidate would consider themselves a well-presented individual who has developed good prioritising skills throughout their studies and their current role. They are confident when talking to new people and considers themselves a self-motivated individual who is enthusiastic when taking on new tasks. They currently work at Utilita Energy as a Customer Service Advisor, duties include taking inbound calls from new and existing customers, answering any queries, passing on messages to relevant people and general customer service. Within this role they feel they have developed their communication skills and learnt how to manage customer complaints professionally. They have developed good computer skills and demonstrated their fast learning ability whilst working with the company’s computer systems. South West Candidates
This candidate considers themselves as a confident individual with strong communication skills and enjoys working as part of a successful team. This candidate has strong academic ability achieving B Grades across the board, in English and Math’s particularly as well as a good level of work experience as a sales assistant in Waitrose where they enjoyed building up good customer relations. This candidate is looking for a fast-paced environment where they can put their skills to good use. Particularly a customer facing office environment such as Estate Agency or any other customer focused role.
This candidate is high in confidence. Previously working within a nursery, they believed a role within childcare was what they wanted to build a career in, however after spending time on the reception desk and not really taking to the childcare elements to the role, this candidate has moved their attention to a receptionist role where they can do the thing they enjoy full-time. They have good levels of experience in a café and retail store and within a nursery, however is aware none of these are directly related to a receptionist role. Instead, they have labelled their key skills to be their telephone manner, organisation and ability to pick things up quickly stating that anything they don’t yet know will not be a problem as they can pick it up quickly.
This candidate has a combination of strong GCSE results and a lot of confidence. They consider their communication, enthusiasm and practicability as three of their main assets allowing them to take on challenges and deliver results in a hard-working environment. Their favourite subject was English, an area of which they always had a strong interest because they enjoyed the classroom debates around the different meanings of the same article. This candidate started an apprenticeship in business admin but was forced to leave after several months, with the company going bust. Being 6 months through their apprenticeship, it was very disappointing for them, however he gained valuable skills and experience of which he can use in a working environment. The candidate is very eager to put their skills into good use and build a career within a business environment elsewhere. They feel the role with you is perfect given their confidence and experience working over the phone and analysing data. Personally, I think they act a lot more mature than their age would suggest and is one of the most professional candidates I have had.
North West Candidates
This candidate considers their work experience to be their biggest assets, having worked as a server in a pub, customer service in an office based role. They are keen to carry over the skills they learnt in their previous roles into a new role within an office environment. This candidate achieved D grades at GCSE but certainly compensates for this with their work experience and attitude.
The candidate has some sales experience working in a call centre where they would generate interest in the company’s services and pass it on to the sales team to close. At school, they were punctual and enjoyed Business as a subject and is keen to gain a qualification to help them achieve the career they desire. This candidate is very academic highlighted by achieving B & C Grades across the board, in English, Math’s and ICT. They are looking for a fast-paced environment where they can put their skills to good use.
This candidate has a very bubbly personality. If you are looking to bring some life into your office, a candidate who is hard working in nature, has customer service experience and can boost the morale of the team may be perfect. They consider their use of initiative, organisation and communication skills as three of their main assets allowing them to work under pressure and pick up new skills quickly.
This candidate believes their main strengths lie in their academic qualities, achieving 2 A’s in English and the rest B’s at GCSE level. As it stands this learner hasn’t worked in the past as they felt it beneficial to focus their time on their studies to get the best possible GCSE results. I feel this candidate would require some work to get them to meet their potential but with a solid academic history, its likely they would pick things up quickly. They are keen to develop their confidence and communication skills in an office based apprenticeship.

The candidate believes they have good communicational skills, are hard working in nature and can use computer systems effectively making them an ideal candidate for any administrative role.
