Vacancy description

We require a Customer Service Advisor for our busy transport office in Wickford. This is a very varied role involving dealing with all the challenges customers and suppliers can present you with.

Suitable candidates will have an interest in the logistics industry, along with the ability to problem solve and good computer skills.

The job role primarily involves:

  • Taking bookings from customers by phone and by email.
  • Deliveries are booked using our in-house booking software and you will spend a lot of your time on the phone speaking to people, so a good telephone manner and a willingness to converse casually with customers is essential.
  • You will also be required to use computer systems to track and liaise with drivers to report status updates to customers and resolve any issues drivers may have when making deliveries.
