Vacancy description

Main Purpose of Job:

To provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support in the Accounts department
To maintain and complete accurate recordings of accounts receivable ledger
Ensure debt is collected within agreed customer terms
Ensures incoming phone calls are answered and passed onto correct location
Scope of Job, Duties & Key Responsibilities:

Receive and distribute incoming mail
Deals appropriately with incoming phone calls
Processing staff expense claim forms including the scanning of the documents into ERP system
Raising of sales invoices
Entering sales invoices into customers ERP/portals as required
Ensure debt is collected within agreed terms and no bad debt
Involvement in year-end preparations
Monthly preparation of analytical reports for distribution to the business
Other ad hoc finance reporting as required
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills

IT proficient, knowledge of Microsoft Excel packages would be an advantage
Personal qualities

Capable of working on own initiative when necessary
Desired qualifications

GCSE English and maths or equivalent
Future prospects

Training to be provided

Business Administration Level 3 qualification 

In house training to be provided by the employer 
Functional skills in maths and English to be provided by the training provider
