The following are the core responsibilities of the apprentice data administrator: 

There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

  • Open and scan all paper based incoming mail
  • Support the team in the use of the clinical system
  • Support the team in the effective use of searches, audits and recalls
  • Contacting patients to book appointments for annual checks and other investigations to support QoF, QP and other income-based activities on behalf of the Practice
  • Always maintain confidentiality and effective security of data Work towards:
  • Read Coding data on EMIS Web g. Extracting the required data from clinical correspondence and inputting the data into the patient’s electronic healthcare record
  • Coding all secondary care (hospital) letters
  • Monitoring patient call and recall systems
  • Collate the required data for managers for reporting purposes

Working week
Monday – Friday 8-6 1 hr lunch
Total hours per week: 40.00

Weekly wage
£200.00
