Job Responsibilities:
- Deal with all general inquiries from patients, Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring the accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery
- Enter requests for home visits into the visit book, print all relevant patient data and ensuring the careful recording of all relevant details and where necessary refer to Duty Doctor
- Action repeat prescription requests and ensure that they are ready for collection by the patient within 72 hours, either on the computer or manually
- Advise patients of relevant charges for private (non-General Medical Services) services, accept payment and issue receipts for same
- Enter patient information on to the computer as required
- Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Reception Manager
- Complete Sytsm1 tasks as and when they produced
- To keep reception areas tidy
- To ensure the Hub Consulting rooms are kept tidy and fully stocked
- To ensure the smooth running of the Extended hour’s hub during normal surgery closing hours

Desired qualifications
- Maths and English A-C / 7-4 or equivalent is essential
Training to be provided
- Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
- In house training from the employer
Working week
- Monday – Saturday. Shifts are rotational – between 8.00am – 8.00pm. Details to be confirmed.
- Total hours per week: 37.50
Weekly wage
- £200

- 15 months
