The working week will consist of a routine, Monday – Friday, on a rota system between 8:00am – 6:00pm (with a 30-minute lunch).

Our Client is looking for an Apprentice Accounts Administrator to join their friendly and professional team.

The successful individual will have the opportunity to progress and grow within a well-respected company with the position available at the end of the apprenticeship for the right candidate.

The job role is varied but the main duties will include:

  • Assist the Finance Manager with client invoicing and sub-contractor payments
  • Ensure all documents are approved in accordance with the Company Policy.
  • Accurately enter all transactions in the internal system and in accordance with necessary deadlines.
  • Prepare monthly contractor statements and process invoices
  • Validate timesheets
  • Collate information for client invoicing and create invoices
  • Accurately enter all purchase ledger, BACS and automated payments in accordance with Company timetable.
  • Investigate any anomalies with automated payments.
  • Maintain the integrity of the purchase ledger to ensure there are no unallocated payments or anomalies.
  • Reconcile supplier statements on a regular basis and request missing transactions as applicable.
  • Chase debt and ensure invoices are settled in a timely manner
  • Provide support to the customer service teams.
  • Maintain up to date process guides and actively review and consider ways to improve processes and efficiencies within the department.
  • Be able to efficiently collate and analyse Data from our internal system at the request of our clients and for reporting purposes.
  • Assist with gathering data to declare monthly contractual ABI reporting for our public sector clients.

Assist with any enquiries from our sub-contractors, suppliers, and clients.
Support and Training will be provided throughout.

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
