Local Reading & Slough Employer Recognised For Providing Apprenticeship Opportunities
Key Training has recognised the training and work opportunities given to Apprentices by local Reading & Slough employer Manrose Manufacturing Limited.
Through working in partnership with Key Training, they have provided local young people the support needed to be successful in employment and get a step on the ladder to success.
Chris Gibbs, Operations Director at Manrose was presented with a commemorative plaque at their offices in Slough on Monday, 11th May 2015 by Jenny Hyam Business Development Manager from Key Training Limited.
Chris Gibbs said “Our Reading facility has played a big part in this award and our success with apprentices employing three young people since 2011. Following the success of our earlier Apprentices, Emily and Chris at Slough, a number of employees at Reading have followed and gained from the benefits the Apprenticeship scheme, run by Key and Manrose; with a further three employees hoping to start the journey now”

I am currently doing an advanced NVQ/Apprenticeship in business administration, it’s very interesting and I have great support and guidance from my Tutor Tammy.
I was first introduced to the Apprenticeship training scheme in late 2010. To support the scheme, improve my knowledge and inspire others in the company I took up the challenge of Level 3 Business Management.

Having worked in Management now for over 30 years at various levels, in recent years my personal development strategy has always been “Live for today and Learn for tomorrow” I try to pass this message of encouragement onto our team at all levels.
At the start of 2015 I took up the challenge of Level 5 in Leadership and Management because I view learning as an important Leadership quality and requirement.
I am confident during this journey and at the end of this journey I will be able to pass my knowledge to members of the Manrose team at all levels, inspiring others to follow my example and ethos of “You can never stop learning”
